IEEE 4th 5G Summit Dresden 2019
Shenzhen YD participates in global cooperation and promotes social progress

The IEEE 4^th 5G Summit was successfully held on October 1, 2019 in Dresden, Germany, alongside the IEEE 2nd 5G World Forum Dresden from September 30 - October 2, 2019.

The IEEE 5G Summit is the world’s largest professional event with the aim of promoting scientific and technological progress. It offered a unique platform for the industry leaders, innovators, and researchers from industry and academia to collaborate and exchange ideas in 5G technologies, to share the upcoming industry trends, the key driving factors, the latest industry innovations, and the requirements for standardization, etc. 

Shenzhen YD was invited to attend this summit, and the chairman Mr. Qi Jianhuai, the vice-president Mr. Peng Hua, the director of the US branch Mr. Qi Jianing, the marketing director Mr. Song Jing, and the R&D director Mr. Luo Junxin participated.

The impact of the 5th generation of mobile communication (5G) on our lives will far exceed any previous mobile communication technologies. Compared with the last generation of communication technology, 5G can provide higher bandwidth and lower latency, and can realize completely new applications.

5G communication technology can solve the communication for the last mile, and provides broadband access to billions of network users on the planet at a lower cost.

5G adopts new mobile network architecture and applies different spectrum, it not only improves the physical data transmission rate, but also creates a new ecosystem for deploying new services and applications. 5G not only supports traditional mobile broadband applications and services, but also supports applications in vertical industries (such as intelligent transportation, industrial IoT, eHealth, etc.) and other 5G-enabled services.

During the summit, Mr. Qi Jianing (the director of Shenzhen YD’s US branch) made a speech on “The Research of Key Technologies of 5G Private Networks that Can Support eMBB and uRLLC”. He elaborated Shenzhen YD’s 5G railway train-to-ground communication solution based on millimeter wave high-capacity transmission from the three aspects of 5G private network construction requirements, 5G core technologies, and 5G demonstration application in railway, and introduced the Soft Handoff technique based mobile accessing and the network programmable low-latency processing.

The three-day world class event attracted many industry specialists, academic experts, and government staffs. We gathered together to share industry experiences, the latest innovative researches, the new industry standards, and the experiences based on prototypes and initial services.

The summit provided an ideal platform, let Shenzhen YD have the opportunity to show its 5G products on world stage. Through exchanges and communications with world leading experts in 5G field, Shenzhen YD got a new understanding for the future of 5G technology.
